A Blessed Merry Christmas...

Here is a late Merry Christmas wish for all of my blogging friends.
I have been so caught up with work, shopping, decorating, and get togethers that I haven't taken the time to blog. I do hope that you all had a blessed holiday and are enjoying the sweet sounds, sights, and smells of what this time of year brings. We spent Christmas day with at my oldest sister's home along with my parents. It was a small but simple and meaningful day. The weather was so nice as you can see in our picture, no coats and 40 degrees. I am decorating with ALL my snowmen tomorrow...that is one of my favorite things to put throughout our home....I have so many that each one means alot to me. I can't believe that 2012 is upon us, didn't we just get done ringing in the New Year of 2011? We have alot to be thankful for and am excited that we have a daughter who is a senior and will graduate in May...so the next 5 months will be busy for all of us. I leave you with some of my New Years Resolutions that I plan to work on diligently!
1. Excercise more
2. Eat less
3. Organize my house
4. Take more time for the simple things
5. Read more books

I want to wish all my blogging friends a very Happy Thanksgiving! We are traveling to my sister in laws for the day, we are so blessed to have such gorgeous weather and everyone in our house is healthy. I hope that whatever you are doing with this "thankful" holiday that you take time like we all should and count the many blessings we do have each and every day! We will be decorating our home for Christmas on Friday, so that will take a chunk of my weekend...gotta love that part of it!

Craft show weekend

Hi Peeps....
Hope this Friday finds you happy and getting geared up for the holidays that are around the corner. I am getting excited for an upcoming craft show that is this Sunday, my sister and I are doing it together in Geneva Ne. I love setting up and tweaking each time space that I get at these shows. I have so many neat snowmen, wreaths, primitive holiday decor, old windows, and some great inexpensive Christmas gifts. I will post pictures of my booth after Sunday.
Our family is traveling to my sister in laws house for Thanksgiving Day. It is hard to believe that it is rolling in like a streak of lightening. Didn't summer just end and school start?

Good morning Peeps~ I know I know its shocking to see me blogging, but I have lots of reasons that kept me from doing so. I am so excited to say that all my craft shows have been a success! This time of year is such a pretty time...I love the crisp air, colorful trees, pumpkins, football and the fact that my husband is done with a successful harvest! This is such a great feeling! If anyone knows of someone that makes primitive snowman bowl fillers I would be interested in an assortment, I have several craft projects that would need some so please pass the word!

Words for Wednesday....

Good Morning Peeps,
I have an official day off and it feels awesome! I have my glue gun plugged in, Autumn Sunset candle burning and a coffee in hand. I have several craft shows in the near future so I need to make my time count...but I had to take time to post on my blog.....priorities first RIGHT?..lol.
This Saturday 2 of my very dear friends and I are venturing to Hillsboro KS to a very LARGE Fall craft show...this is the craft show of all craft shows. There are over 350 vendors on the streets of Hillsboro and I get so many awesome ideas and a start to my Christmas shopping too. We have a blast each time we go and we are already talking about our plans for next years trip. The forecast looks so great to go on this venture and that makes it even better. It is nice and cool here today in Nebraska, cloudy and 60's for high temps, my kind of crafting and baking weather.
So with that I better get back to what I took this day off for....

Hello Blogging Friends~
I feel like I have to introduce myself again since it has been so long since I have posted anything. My summer has been different than most in the past. Having a full time job since January and then all the kids summer activities have kept me extremely busy! I have not forgotten any of you and hope that you are keeping busy with what ever makes your heart content. I love this season that is upon us. I love all the gorgeous autumn colors and the cool crispness in the air. It also means that my crafting is going to pick up and get me in the mood for future craft shows. As the next few weeks come into play I will be posting pictures of my seasonal crafts and hope that it inspires you to get out your autumn decor and have fun!
Something else that is exciting in our home is that we have a SENIOR...I am still in shock that this time is here and yet Sammy is having a great start to her special year....we are waiting for her senior pictures to get back to us....they turned out better that I ever expected and yet YES I knew they would be awesome!....Again, I have missed you all and hope to get back in touch with you...please post a comment with what fall things you are doing and I hope that you are having a wonderful weekend as this is out last weekend in August, so here we go again by flipping the calender to a wonderful month of September.

I love this holiday for the meer fact that we have family time and enjoy the outdoors, fireworks, great food, spending time together and most of all reflect on what this day means to us! Happy Flag Day Peeps~ Its been a few weeks since I blogged. Summer has kept me busy with working through this month and all the activities with my kiddos. I love this time of year though. No one is sick and the kids keep busy at home. Our county fair is 1 month away and so that keeps the kids busy with getting their projects done. I am going to have a summer giveaway starting next week..I will post pictures of what it will be by this weekend. Can you believe it is Memorial Day weekend already? Where has May gone? Its always a good time to reflect on our loved ones and to pay tribute to the men and women who fight everyday for our freedom! We are hanging around the house today...enjoying no where to go...isn't that funny that we appreciate those simple things! I am having a garage sale with a friend of mine in 2 weeks so I actually have plenty to do to get ready for that. So what are your plans for this long weekend? Its starting to rain here, which we have had so much rain in the past couple weeks that we need to dry out and have warm sunny days!

Good Morning Friends~
I sure hope you all had a wonderful weekend! It was a gloomy and cool one
here, but as we woke up this morning the sun was shinning and the birds were
chirping! We had numerous graduations to attend and then our 18th wedding
anniversary was on Saturday...so it was nice to spend some time togther!
My kids have 1 day left of school..needless to say that they are so excited and
ready to have a "BREAK"! I work at my school through June and have July off,
which will be a good thing with our kids busy with 4-H at our county fair! I hope
that each of you moms had a special Mother's Day...it is a nice thing to have that
day off and relax a little!
I hope you have a great week...I know mine with fly by...but that is ok as I love when
I can be home with my family.

Hello Peeps...its been a few weeks since I posted anything.
With working as a secretary for a school its a busy time and
my kids are very active in end of the year programs, track meets and
just being outside more and more. They are done with school in 2 weeks!
Its been such gorgeous weather here, sunny and 70 today.
I have all my pots ready to go and garden tilled, so I feel good about
getting out there and planting away! I can't write alot as I am pressed
for time, but I wanted to stop and say hello and hoping that you too are
enjoying the weather where you are. I do ask that you leave me a comment

What a joyous time of year! I hope you all have wonderful plans with family. I am having dinner at our home with my husband's side of the family. Spring is in the Air~

Good Morning Peeps~
What a beautiful day it is here...as I look at the calender and think WOW
its April 20th, where has 2011 gone already? I am so ready to get outside and dig in the
dirt and plant many many pots of gorgeous flowers along with planting my veggie garden.
We are also looking forward to the Easter weekend...I am having dinner at my house...I love
to have family over and its also a great excuse to spring clean!
I celebrated another year of getting wiser and feeling younger last Sunday the 17th....it also
was my daughter's junior prom, what a wonderful time it was for her and of course mom and dad!
I hope your holiday plans are specail in any way possible...we have alot to be thankful for and blessed to have our health and great family and friends.

Good Morning Peeps~
Its unusual that I am home at this time of day, but Tanner is under the weather a bit so I am home with him and getting caught up on what I love to do best...blogging and crafting! I am excited to show you what I got at one of my favorite antiques shop...the 2 crocks are a neat size and the 2 sewing desk drawers are so primitive. I already have the 2 crocks filled for a craft event that I am doing soon. I love the forecast that the weather man is forecasting...SUNSHINE is what I need!

What are your big plans today? Our oldest daughter, Sammy, is getting geared up for prom which is in 2 weeks...such a fun time in her life...our middle daughter, Taylor, is in her prime for Track season...and of course, Tanner, is looking forward to soccer again this spring. I love all the phases the kids go through...so fun to share it with them, even though I am working full time now...but working for a school has great hours and that makes it alot easier!

Yes, its really me...

Hello Blogging Buddies....It has been 3 weeks since I last posted, which is a record for me. I have so much on my plate that I just took some time off. My grandma past away 1 week ago and even though I am a strong person, I do miss her terribly! She had 95 years of a good life and I am so glad that my kids got to spend some quality time with her. I don't know what the weather is like where you live, but I am so tired of the gloomy, depressing, cool days. I know once the sun comes out our moods and energy will rise up! I have spring fever like no other...love that time of year! I have been crafting alot too, getting ready to put my creations in a friend's new craft consignment corner....it opens April 15th!

I'm finally back!

Hello Blogging Friends~
Its been 3 weeks since I blogged and I have totally missed it. I have been extremely busy at work and also crafting for an upcoming craft show this month. We had some more snow and of course another snow day today, which was nice so I could keep crafting! I am so ready for spring...I love all the colors, the fresh crisp air, and of course the warmer temps.
My son, Tanner, turned double digits yesterday....10 years old, wow has that time gone so fast! He got a new bike which is going to be so nice once the weather turns nice outside. We are all looking forward to day light savings time, I love it when the evenings stay light longer!

Is it too early?

Good Morning and Happy Saturday!...We have a weekend of Tanner's basketball tournaments, so fun to watch 10 year old boys come alive on the court!
I have been contemplating on taking all my snowmen and winter decor down and putting out spring. So that is my question for you is "Is it too early"...I need to dust and do a heavy cleaning and I thought if that is what I am going to do then I may as well bring out some "new" decor.
I love this time of year knowing that we have 1 more month of possible cold temps and maybe some snow, before the birds are chirping and we can open windows and put away the winter coats! We have had a gorgeous week of 50's and 60's with sunshine and no wind, such a tease to us with what is to come.
I am doing a spring craft show at the end of March, so I am excited to create some spring and easter crafts.

Happy Valentine's Day! I love this day...its nice to have a day to express to the ones we love how we really feel about them! Randy got me a bouquet of roses....red, pink and white...so pretty! I need some ideas!!

Hi Ladies~I am sure most of you are watching the Super Bowl...as I usually do, I have lots of ideas running through my head! A friend of mine is opening a new craft/scrapbooking shop and she has asked numerous of us ladies that craft to go in on it with her...I am so excited, but I need some fresh new primitive ideas that are simple and cost effective. I would love to hear from any of you talented ladies with some or any ideas of crafty things that would be good to display in her shop...I am excited to get my glue gun up and running again, as I have taken a break from it since the holidays. I am thinking of spring too, even though we have 2 months of cold and wet weather left. I have a day off tomorrow and look forward to going through magazines and looking online for some craft ideas...I want to make the most of my day doing this....I also am getting a massage in the afternoon, can't wait for that!!!

Happy Monday

Hello Peeps~
Its been a few weeks since I posted anything. I have been overwhelmed by my new job and then Saturday we had our 5th Annual Bull Sale. WOW that was an exciting day, such an awesome crowd and prices were out of this world...so yes all in all I feel very blessed for all that we have. As I left work today the snow was coming down quite hard and the winds are really picking up, so needless to say my kids and I are hoping for a snow day tomorrow.
What are you doing these days? Are you still crafting, sewing, painting, or cleaning after the holidays have been gone for a month now. I can't believe that tomorrow is February 1st...January went by so quickly, and you know what that means?....one more day closer to spring!!!!
I hope whatever you are doing with your days that you take time for something you want to do for yourself, I think this is very important, even if its just 15-30 mins., but it does make a difference on your mindset to have some "ME" time.

Wynter Thyme!!!

Happy Monday Peeps~
What is the weather where you are? We had our first "snow day" of the season...and with my new job that is an excitement since I have only been there for 3 days....the kids had a great time sledding and then hot cocoa and turtle brownies. I do like my new job and I know it will take time to get used to all the routine of a school day. The staff is alot of fun and have been very welcoming! I do know that my blogging will taper off with being gone to work, but I hope to catch back up on the weekends. I plan on posting my "New Years" giveaway sometime tomorrow, especially if we have a late start. I will leave you with a picture of a wreath I have on our outside front porch and some "winter" pics of this mornings snow....it was a gorgeous snow...even if we did get over 12 inchs of the white, fluffy stuff.

I got a new job and I start tomorrow!!!

I have exciting news to share with you, I got a new job at Red Cloud High School as their secretary and I am sooo happy. Now of course I have all the gitters that go with starting a new job, but am so excited for the challenge. Its kinda fast how this whole experience happened. I applied for the position 2 days before Christmas and of course figured I wouldn't hear anything for a little while, and then yesterday, Jan. 3rd., I got a call saying they would like to interview that afternoon...so I did go to the interview, which I thought went very well...and today I got the "call" and I start tomorrow....so with that I will say...THANK YOU GOD FOR ANSWERING MY PRAYERS!
I had better get to bed and rest my brain for I have a BIG day tomorrow.
I will keep you posted on how this new experience is going.
And yes I will be having a Giveaway soon!

Hello Peeps....Can you believe that it is the 30th of December? Where did this month go? As they say time flies when you are having fun....I have a full menu planned for tonight as the Nebraska Huskers play the Washington Huskies in the Holiday Bowl...I have beer cheese soup in the crockpot, bacon wrapped water chestnuts, beer bread, and some peanut butter balls for dessert. We are looking at our last day of decent temps until we get an arctic blast and then some sleet and snow for the New Year. We have been very fortunate to having a mild winter so far, as last year we had snow till March. I am posting some pictures of our home with all my favorite snowmen...we redecorated after taking the Christmas decor down...its always nice for a change.... Merry Christmas to all my blogging friends~Can you believe the day has come and gone and it was such a good time...I love being with my kiddos and hubby on Christmas morning and then off to grandmas for dinner...we had an adult gift exchange this year and it was a blast....women bought for a woman and the same for the guys....then we all drew a number and got to grab a gift on our turn and then of course you can steal.....wow that gets a little tense (in a fun way).
So today we are just relaxing and putting things away...its a great time to organize. I intend to put out my snowmen this week...that will take a while as I have a huge collection and will post pictures as I decorate.

What Christmas means to Me...

Good Morning....This will be my Christmas post as I feel that the next few days will be spent with family. I want to express how blessed I feel with having started my blog a little over a year ago, and all the wonderful ladies I have met and feel as though I know you. I want to leave you with what Christmas means to me and if you feel that you want to leave me a comment on the very same topic feel free to do so.
Christmas means a variety of things to me but the two that sticks out the most to me is FAMILY & CHRIST....without either of these I would be nothing....I love the fact that I have the best family and we all get along and enjoy each others company....Christ is the center of all that we do, without him where would we be...I do love all the decorating, gifts, candles burning, baking etc. I do hate to see this season end, but if we could think of it as a new beginning and to reflect on all the blessings we had in 2010 and all that we have to look forward to in 2011, it makes me smile. I hope each of you have a Very Merry Christmas and keep peace and joy in your hearts.

Good Morning Peeps, Hope you are in the Christmas spirit and can you believe it is 1 week till the Birth of our Lord? I love this time of year and especially because my middle daughter, Taylor, turns 14 today...she is turning into quite the young lady! She is asleep right now but she will be thrilled when she wakes up and sees SNOW on the ground! It is so pretty too. Good morning my holiday friends....I have very little time to post this morning...but I do want to tell you of a very special event that I will be at tomorrow...its our annual Holiday Bazaar that is held in Blue Hill, Ne. Its a very nice show with lots of homemade talent....I get to be neighbors with my friends, Steph and Chris from pixybugdesigns.blogspot.com...we always have a good time...so with that I need to finish up some of that last minute "tweaking" of some craft items and then off to pack my van so I can go set up tonight! Happy Saturday Peeps....Can you believe that we are less than a week from Thanksgiving and then the fun begins with Christmas decorating...I attended a greenery workshop with some friends today and so I am posting some of the arrangements that I made...I also brought home extra greenery to put throughout our home...there also was a big bucket of winterberry that was from a gals pasture....what a great accent to all the greens....I have Beef Barley Soup in the crockpot and ready for a night of Husker football and crafting...does it get any better than that?!

Today is a fine day for this gal...A friend and I are going to go Christmas shopping in Kearney Ne. today and then at 4 pm we are attending the Mannheim Steamroller concert. Now I don't know about you but this is exactly what I need to get me into the Christmas Spirit. I love their music! 18 years ago my husband (boyfriend at the time) went to see them in Omaha on New Year's Eve...they was fabulous then and continue to bring the warm holiday feeling into our home. Hello blogland, hope everyone had a spooky and SWEET Halloween...it was a relaxing day and then our 9 year old son and a friend of his went trick or treating as Mario and Luigi...it was too cute! I will post a picture following this post.

Busy Week for crafts!

OCTOBER 23-Exeter Avenue Holiday Sampler is Saturday, October 23, 2010. Doors open at 10:00 am to 2:00 p.m. Two locations this year...Exeter Legion Hall and across the street at Exeter Senior Center. Lunch served at both locations.
This is an event that I will be at this coming Saturday! I have been so busy making holiday crafts for this day...I hope that people will be out and about and ready to start thinking about their Christmas shopping...its hard to believe that the season is upon us...I hope you all had a great weekend. I was pleasantly surprised this morning when I opened my emails and saw that I won these darling candy canes from The Rusty Thimble Giveaway....they will be perfect around our home for the holidays. Its hard to imagine that we are half way into October, but as a crafter it seems that the time is spent working on Christmas decor that I have to stop and thing what season are we really in :-) I also have felt very blessed, not that I usually don't but do you ever feel like WOW that was a blessed moment?! I have a very good chance at a secretary job for an attorney and I am so praying that this opportunity works out...it would be such great hours for our family and I would feel like I am contributing so much more than I already do. In the mean time I am making crafts right and left..I have a show on the 23rd and then our BIG family boutique on Nov. 6th...so as I look at the calender time is going quickly...with that I need to get back into my craft room...while the ideas are HOT...

I love this time of year, so many things to be thankful for and it also means that my craft room is buzzing with ideas for upcoming shows...speaking of that I want to share with you some pictures from a Harvest event that I had a booth at...it was so nice...It was in a gorgeous white old barn..it sure set the feeling of fall and Harvest time. I have the most awesome day planned tomorrow..2 of my very dear friends and I are traveling to Hillsboro KS for the craft shows of all craft shows...Its in an awesome town of 2900 people....its on the square of their downtown and there are over 400 vendors...now let me tell you..you will find more prims, jewelry, seasonal, rosehips, candles, clothing etc....then at any other crafts show that I have been to before...its all outside and the atmosphere is to die for....yummy food, music and lots of girl time...so if you are in the area and have nothing to do..this is the place to be...I can't wait to see what I find this year...I get so many ideas and then when I come home, my mind is spinning. Greetings Peeps~
A fresh new month is upon us and with that I have Autumn Fever. First, we had a terrible storm this morning...heavy rain, high winds, and ALOT of hail...so needless to say my yard looks bad...leaves and stick everywhere along with our soybean fields are not looking too good....stripped the foliage...so we will have to have our insurance agent come out and see what we can salvage...such a shame as my husband just remarked how good those beans looked, and at least not all of our crops did get damaged. So with that I decided that I could sit all day and ponder with the idea of what are we going to do or get busy and decorate our home for the new season..so I did and it made me feel great...I cleaned and cleaned and decorated all over. I would love to show you some of the areas throughout our home...hope you enjoy. Hope you are having a great week!

Gorgeous Day in Nebraska!

Hello Peeps~Today is the most gorgeous day in this wonderful state we live in...we got a 2 inch rain and have 75 degree temps...doesn't get any better than that! I have AUTUMN fever like no other...our summer has been soooo HOT and humid that it takes the energy right out from you. I have been busy in my craft room...lots of fall crafts being made....I have 2 fall craft shows that I am doing in the next 2 months so its exciting to see all my new creations coming alive. With the kids in school now, my"free" time is well spent. I am also looking forward to decorating for FALL around our house, as the cleaning needs to get done anyhow and what better way to do it then to take everything down and put out the rich fall colors!

Hello Blogging Peeps! Hope you have had a good week! I know that I have had a good one and am anxious to have my kids home after their first full week of school. I don't know if you are aware of a wonderful woman, Joyce Meyer, well she is into Ministry and has opened my heart and eyes to a new way of life! I have read many of her books and listened to numerous cds, and this lady has not had the easiest life, but through her teachings and life experiences she has grown and now can help teach us. I appreciate her daily shows and TRY to use her teachings in my life. The messages are easy but yet we fail to often. I hope that if you have some spare time to search her out and see what she can do for you...its amazing how she has inspired me!
What are your big plans this weekend? We have a wedding tomorrow and then on Sunday I canning salsa...so looking forward to that! I hope what ever you do spend it with family and try to do something positive! It sure helps when you have a good attitude!

Hello I have stepped away from posting lately...we have had a couple of very busy weeks. Our county fair is over and my neice's wedding was so nice! Since then I have had a job opportunity that I am pursuing and have lots of paper work to do to get it out in the mail...I will take any prayers that I can get! Today is it so HOT and HUMID here...my flowers and garden are needing lots of water and TLC....but I love looking out at them when I wake up each morning, they are so bright and vibrant....a kick start to my day along with yummy tomatoes and cucumbers for lunch! The Olde County Fair

Hello on this gorgeous morning in Nebraska~ We have had such a busy month already and our county fair is starting next week...it scares me to think that summer is half over and the kiddos will be heading back to school next month! I am so excited to announce that I picked my first cucumbers on the 4th of July...that is a first that I can remember...its the "simple" things in life that makes us happy right?!!! I am so excited to tell you that a friend of mine who recently opened her own scrapbooking/photography studio is wanting some of my crafts to help decorate her gorgeous studio. A Bargain of a day!

Happy Saturday my friends~I am so excited to share with you some more great treasures that I found yesterday and this morning at some local sales. The old window and wreath was $1.50, shelf $3.00, cupboard $1.00, red gas can $1.00, old metal lunch box $1.00, little shelf $.50...so a grand total of $8.00, can you imagine going to a store or antique shop and what it would have cost me. I have BIG plans to distress the shelves and the cupboard...so stay tuned for a later post on how they turn out. I am also so excited to tell you that I have a friend who just recently opened up her own scrapbooking/photography store and is willing to sell my crafts in her store...so needless to say, I better get busy and get my paint brush and sander to work.

Happy Friday Everyone! Today was such a fun day with my kids and I . We went to town and hit over 35 garage sales....I found wicker baskets, a shelf to distress, wreaths, 2 primitive plaid towels, and a wooden cookbook shelf. I spent around $35 for all that you see in this picture. I just love a bargain and especially when I have so many uses for all these items whether it be crafts or other decorating ideas for our home....I hope you all have a great weekend and starting next week I am going to have a summer giveaway....check back with me on Wednesday to see just what it will be....

Happy Saturday everyone!!! I had a blast yesterday at some garage sales....Its amazing how many treasures I found in a short amount of time...I felt like I went to a prim shop and yet I spent very little. It must have been my day to find baskets, which I love...and then finding the white garland and the primitive snowman...I just kept seeing future craft projects with them....I hope to announce a future giveaway next week..I have some ideas that I think you will enjoy, so stay tuned!!! My Anniversary with my Hubby!

Good Morning and TGIF!!! Its a gorgeous day here, the birds are chirping and I am heading out to plant more flowers....Today is also our wedding anniversary...17 wonderful years together and I am so looking forward to many more years with Randy. We are going out to eat tonight and then going to see Sara Evans/Josh Gracin in concert...I can't wait!!!!! Hello and Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful mothers in blogland. It has been a very nice day for me, as I slept in today and then got up to a nice surprise from my kids and hubby, a awesome rustic birdbath that holds a pot under it so I think I will plant a purple wave in it, its going to look so neat in our back yard. Then we went out to eat for dinner and came home and worked out in my flower bed....I so appreciate the nice day! I will leave you with a picture of me and my 3 awesome kids!

Happy Earth Day Giveaway!

Hello friends....I have been away for awhile and not by choice, just a busy time of year for our family. Its Earth Day and we have had a wonderful rain and so all the flowers, grass and trees are so pretty and alive. First of all, I have been busy with my garden, getting some veggies planted, and this weekend is my 16 year old daughter's first prom...she is so excited and so am I....I also turned another year older on the 17th and I thank God each and every day for giving me good health and lots of wonderful days with family and friends. Its such a great time of year here in Nebraska...lots to be thankful for with the hard winter we had. I am so excited to get outside and work in the dirt with my flowers and try some new things. I also am having a spring giveaway that includes a spring arrangement made by me along with a painted primitive wood bowl refurbished also by me. Here are the simple rules to enter: 1. Hello and I am so glad to have my computer up and running again, a person doesn't think that we depend on it too much, but we do. I hope that all of you had a wonderful Easter! It was a gorgeous day with family. In an earlier post of mine I talked about another giveaway, well with this computer issue, I kinda let all that go, so I promise to have a "Spring Giveaway" announcement by the weekend. Hello my blogging friends….to think that today is the first day of SPRING!!! We have been waiting for this season to come and now it is here…we had a light snowfall yesterday in Nebraska, but tomorrow it is to be in the50’s with sunshine. I don’t have alot planned for the weekend, other than spending time with my family and enjoying the fact that we are all getting over our colds. Good morning and Happy St. Patty’s Day….With the luck of the Irish, I hope you all find your pot of gold at the end of a rainbow! Today is a day in the craftroom….so many ideas and I am working on my next giveaway, it will be a good one and I will post it soon. Yesterday was a real teaser for spring, the sun came out and the birds were chirping, its amazing how 45 degrees with sun can brighten anyones day! I am reading Beth Moore’s new book called “So Long Insecurities” I can’t put it down, she is an amazing woman and I would recommend this book to any woman…its amazing how you feel she is speaking to you…God works in so many ways! Hello friends, hoping that you are all having a good day. We celebrated my son, Tanner's 9th birthday today...to think that my baby is growing up and will only be in single digits one more year. I have been doing lots of crafting and refurbishing old finds. I saw my first robin yesterday, it was sweet. I have such spring fever and am so looking forward to digging in the dirt. Makeover Monday!

Good Morning on this lovely Monday...I spent the weekend at my son's 3rd grade basketball tournaments, so fun to watch him play. In an earlier post I had showed you a cupboard that I got from a friend who was moving....Well I repainted it and love how it turned out, I was not sure if I wanted it to be all black, but as I got painting it did turn out nice. I also will show you my daughter's first prom dress, she was so happy to find the one she had her eye on. It was a great day shopping with my 2 daughters, they sure grow up way too fast. Hello and yes I need to be in bed, but am so excited to be going shopping with my 2 girls tomorrow, since they have no school :-) My oldest daughter, Samantha, is 16 and going to her first prom...so with spring in the NEAR future its time to find that dress. I have the camera charging and the van full of gas, we are leaving early so we have ALL day to find that perfect dress! Its an exciting time for her and I...hoping to fit a little other shopping as well...like maybe antique shopping, but I know she would say that this other is a little more important and I would agree, but hey its worth trying. Good Morning~ I hope that you had a Happy Valentine's Day, we watched movies all day and really just relaxed! I have been working on my 2nd giveaway and am excited to show it to you.   There are 4 things in this package; a spring berry wreath with a tea stained bunny in the middle, a wooden sconce repainted in burgandy and then antique white paint over the top of it with a sprig of berries and a grungy candle, a magnetic primitive mini calender, and then a package of Ameretto Hot Cocoa that is made by me.

Good Morning friends...I have to share with you a few pictures of some awesome treasures that I picked up from a friend yesterday who is moving and needs to downsize...The cupboard is so cool, but I think I might repaint it, any suggestions? It is going into my craft room to store more STUFF. The window was another true gift....I repainted it black and then stained it with a dark walnut....I can see it with 2 wreaths on it and a big plant in front of it. Hello..Hope everyone had a great weekend. The Super Bowl turned out just like our family hoped for! My interview this morning went well...now its the waiting game, so with very little push I ventured out to a GW store and look what I found....lots of shelves, americana, and an old red chair and then I went to my favorite 2 antique shops and found an awesome old screen that has 3 sides to it...soooo cool! I plan on doing lots of makeovers with these items...so stay tuned!

Good Morning and Happy Friday! We got 8 inches of snow yesterday, so back to the yucky roads and shoveling. I think this winter has seemed so long and with living on a farm the work is always twice as much when you have wintery weather. We are calving now and so its always a worry when the weather gets bad. I have been working on some makeovers with some old shelves and sconces. I will share them with you and I am sure I will be back to show more. I also have some good news, I have an interview on Monday morning...kinda nervous, but excited too!
