Gifts from a friend~

Good Morning friends...I have to share with you a few pictures of some awesome treasures that I picked up from a friend yesterday who is moving and needs to downsize...The cupboard is so cool, but I think I might repaint it, any suggestions?  It is going into my craft room to store more STUFF.  The window was another true gift....I repainted it black and then stained it with a dark walnut....I can see it with 2 wreaths on it and a big plant in front of it.  I hope that you all have a fabulous weekend and I will be posting my 2nd giveaway on Monday...SO STAY TUNED!

A Primitive Giveaway!

Look what I found!

Hello..Hope everyone had a great weekend.  The Super Bowl turned out just like our family hoped for!  My interview this morning went well...now its the waiting game, so with very little push I ventured out to a GW store and look what I found....lots of  shelves, americana, and an old red chair and then I went to my favorite 2 antique shops and found an awesome old screen that has 3 sides to it...soooo cool!  I plan on doing lots of makeovers with these items...so stay tuned!

A few makeovers,,,

Good Morning and Happy Friday!  We got 8 inches of snow yesterday, so back to the yucky roads and shoveling.  I think this winter has seemed so long and with living on a farm the work is always twice as much when you have wintery weather.  We are calving now and so its always a worry when the weather gets bad.  I have been working on some makeovers with some old shelves and sconces.  I will share them with you and I am sure I will be back to show more.  I also have some good news, I have an interview on Monday morning...kinda nervous, but excited too!

More new treasures!

Hello, I sure hope that today is finding you hard at any project you may have in the making.  I was so lucky to find more goodies at GW yesterday, I have been wanting to distress some shelves and sconces, without paying alot and look in the picture at some of the items I found!
I also went to see my sister in law, who had some foot surgery in January and found out they are moving in March and she wants to downsize some of her treasures and gee...I am so lucky to be her first pick...I can't believe that she is getting rid of 3 awesome old quilts...so I latched them up for a little of nothing! 
That is all for now, we are to have more snow tonight and tomorrow, so I have some chilli in the crockpot and my plans are to work on some makeovers tomorrow, I will post as soon as I have them completed!

A New Month...Brings new ideas!

Happy Monday and along with that brings a new month.  Over the weekend we had our annual Bull sale that is at our farm, and it went so well!  Its exciting to see that the crowd was here to see what we had to offer and all of the bulls sold, so that is a great thing too!
I decided to put my snowmen friends away for another year and with that comes some heavy cleaning and organizing.  Its  kinda nice to reduce some of the clutter and venture out to redo some things that you had sitting around.  I am so looking forward to what February brings us, its a short month and it also means its closer to SPRING!  With that I am going to wish you lots of great wishes for a good week and hope that you all are staying happy and healthy!
