A Blessed Sunday!

Hello friends, hoping that you are all having a good day.  We celebrated my son, Tanner's 9th birthday today...to think that my baby is growing up and will only be in single digits one more year.  I have been doing lots of crafting and refurbishing old finds.  I saw my first robin yesterday, it was sweet.  I have such spring fever and am so looking forward to digging in the dirt.  I better get back into the kitchen to finish up supper...I am posting a picture of my son opening his first telescope...he was thrilled.  Have a wonderful week!

One More day!

Good Morning blogging friends~
Just a reminder that my giveaway ends tomorrow March 1st.  I will pick a winner in the morning, so I do hope that you all get your name in.  We are anxiously waiting for a new family member, our neice is in the hospital having her first baby.  Its been over 24 hours so this has been a long wait.  I have been in the craft room this whole week making lots of makeovers and will post them this week, it sure passes the time waiting for spring to come!

Makeover Monday!

Good Morning on this lovely Monday...I spent the weekend at my son's 3rd grade basketball tournaments, so fun to watch him play.  In an earlier post I had showed you a cupboard that I got from a friend who was moving....Well I repainted it and love how it turned out, I was not sure if I wanted it to be all black, but as I got painting it did turn out nice.  I also will show you my daughter's first prom dress, she was so happy to find the one she had her eye on.  It was a great day shopping with my 2 daughters, they sure grow up way too fast.  Just a reminder that my giveaway is going on for 1 more week, so please continue to mention it to your blogging friends.

~Prom dress shopping~

Hello and yes I need to be in bed, but am so excited to be going shopping with my 2 girls tomorrow, since they have no school :-)  My oldest daughter, Samantha, is 16 and going to her first prom...so with spring in the NEAR future its time to find that dress.  I have the camera charging and the van full of gas, we are leaving early so we have ALL day to find that perfect dress!  Its an exciting time for her and I...hoping to fit a little other shopping as well...like maybe antique shopping, but I know she would say that this other is a little more important and I would agree, but hey its worth trying.  I hope that you all have a great weekend!  I will keep you all posted on how it all goes.

Happy Ash Wednesday!

Good Morning and Happy Ash Wednesday!  I always love this time of year, and man do we need this time of year.  Its a great time to reflect on what we can be doing better.  I know in our household everyone can improve on something and it doesn't have to be a BIG thing....God always loves the little things that can improve our life in anyway!  Our family will be going to church tonight to receive ashes.  I hope that all of you have a wonderful day and thanks so much for visiting my blog, I have enjoyed reading the comments and just knowing all the friendships out there that are being made.

~~A Spring Giveaway!~~

Good Morning~  I hope that you had a Happy Valentine's Day, we watched movies all day and really just relaxed!  I have been working on my 2nd giveaway and am excited to show it to you.   There are 4 things in this package; a spring berry wreath with a tea stained bunny in the middle, a wooden sconce repainted in burgandy and then antique white paint over the top of it with a sprig of berries and a grungy candle,  a magnetic primitive mini calender, and then a package of Ameretto Hot Cocoa that is made by me.
