Happy 4th of July!

Good Morning Peeps & Happy 4th of July.  I love this holiday for the meer fact that we have family time and enjoy the outdoors, fireworks, great food, spending time together and most of all reflect on what this day means to us!  We have plans to bar-b-que out and and then go to our town parade and fireworks display.  I love to see all the yards lined with flags and alot of folks wearing their patriotic colors.  I hope whatever you do today please be safe and enjoy your loved ones and friends.

Join in the my new "Topic of the Week"

Happy Flag Day Peeps~  Its been a few weeks since I blogged.  Summer has kept me busy with working through this month and all the activities with my kiddos.  I love this time of year though.  No one is sick and the kids keep busy at home.  Our county fair is 1 month away and so that keeps the kids busy with getting their projects done.  I am going to have a summer giveaway starting next week..I will post pictures of what it will be by this weekend. I am also going to start something fun with my blog....and I am hoping you will join in.  I want to have a "Topic of the Week."  With that I will have a topic that I want your opinion on and it will be light hearted and exciting to see who reads my blog and actually posts a comment back to me.  So for the first time of this the "Topic" is going to be "Summer Time."  I want you to share what Summer Time means to you and your family.  I am anxious to read what all of you do with this great time of the year.  I hope you all have a fabulous day!

Happy Memorial Weekend!

Good Morning friends~
Can you believe it is Memorial Day weekend already?  Where has May gone?  Its always a good time to reflect on our loved ones and to pay tribute to the men and women who fight everyday for our freedom!  We are hanging around the house today...enjoying no where to go...isn't that funny that we appreciate those simple things!  I am having a garage sale with a friend of mine in 2 weeks so I actually have plenty to do to get ready for that.  So what are your plans for this long weekend?  Its starting to rain here, which we have had so much rain in the past couple weeks that we need to dry out and have warm sunny days!
I hope whatever you are doing you are spending it with loved ones and enjoying the "family" time.

A Sunny Monday!

Good Morning Friends~
I sure hope you all had a wonderful weekend!  It was a gloomy and cool one
here, but as we woke up this morning the sun was shinning and the birds were
chirping!  We had numerous graduations to attend and then our 18th wedding
anniversary was on Saturday...so it was nice to spend some time togther!
My kids have 1 day left of school..needless to say that they are so excited and
ready to have a "BREAK"!  I work at my school through June and have July off,
which will be a good thing with our kids busy with 4-H at our county fair!  I hope
that each of you moms had a special Mother's Day...it is a nice thing to have that
day off and relax a little!
I hope you have a great week...I know mine with fly by...but that is ok as I love when
I can be home with my family.

I love this kind of weather!

Hello Peeps...its been a few weeks since I posted anything.
With working as a secretary for a school its a busy time and
my kids are very active in end of the year programs, track meets and
just being outside more and more.  They are done with school in 2 weeks!
Its been such gorgeous weather here, sunny and 70 today.
I have all my pots ready to go and garden tilled, so I feel good about
getting out there and planting away!  I can't write alot as I am pressed
for time, but I wanted to stop and say hello and hoping that you too are
enjoying the weather where you are.  I do ask that you leave me a comment
in regard to what is your favorite flower is....mine is geranium.

Happy Easter Peeps~
What a joyous time of year!  I hope you all have wonderful plans with family.  I am having dinner at our home with my husband's side of the family.  So you know what that means...heavy spring cleaning and baking...2 things I actually don't mind doing...lol.  Its a cloudy, windy, cool day...I was hoping for some sunshine, but I guess we take what we get and make the most of it!  I am so ready to get my hands dirty and plant some flowers, but it has not been all that warm yet and the nights have been so cool.  I had better get my list made of things I need to do today...so with that Happy Easter to you and your families.  Lets see what all your holiday ventures are so leave me a comment with your Easter plans!  I love to hear from all of you...

Spring is in the Air~

Good Morning Peeps~
What a beautiful day it is here...as I look at the calender and think WOW
its April 20th, where has 2011 gone already?  I am so ready to get outside and dig in the
dirt and plant many many pots of gorgeous flowers along with planting my veggie garden.
We are also looking forward to the Easter weekend...I am having dinner at my house...I love
to have family over and its also a great excuse to spring clean!
I celebrated another year of getting wiser and feeling younger last Sunday the 17th....it also
was my daughter's junior prom, what a wonderful time it was for her and of course mom and dad!
I hope your holiday plans are specail in any way possible...we have alot to be thankful for and blessed to have our health and great family and friends.
I leave you with my favorite quote that I use daily in my life...
