Happy Wednesday!

Hello on this gorgeous morning in Nebraska~  We have had such a busy month already and our county fair is starting next week...it scares me to think that summer is half over and the kiddos will be heading back to school next month!  I am so excited to announce that I picked my first cucumbers on the 4th of July...that is a first that I can remember...its the "simple" things in life that makes us happy right?!!!  I plan on having another giveaway but will wait till our fairs are over, so plan on visiting me on the first of August to see what is in store....On this post I would love to hear from you on what makes your summer memorable ....as we get so caught up in all the running we try to make time for the little things and for me its seeing my kids laughing together and loving each other for who they are!  I hope each of you have a great day...hope to hear from you soon!
Blessings~

  1. Yeah!! Cucumbers!! I love them fresh from the garden, mine are only blooms, but those little yellow smiles greet me every morning, spilling from a tiny ole' bucket. This is the first year I've tried a container for them, they make me happy just growing. I love simple things, a walk early in the morning, praise music, clean clothes on the line, hugging my 17 yr. old boy, my sweetheart husband's smile, a clean sink, no dirty dishes, day lillies, the voice of the river early along the trail, and esp. knowing, I am Never forsaken, I have my LORD. I am blessed.

  2. Love me some cucumbers....and right now I have them up to my ears! I've even made pickles and given some away and still have plenty...
Gardening is fun in the summer...except for the HEAT!
    Blessings to you!

  3. YUMMM what can be better than freshness from the garden!!!

WEll...i live in the city...so its freshness from the farmers market for me! As for summer...i just love the slower pace, the overflowing window boxes on the front of my house and watching my grand baby grow like a weed :) I'm blessed!

  4. We don't have a garden, but I try to buy from the farmers this time of year. I love the fresh fruits the best! As far as what makes the summer memorable - just plain relaxing on the deck and visiting with family. We never seem to run out of things to talk about. Hope your summer is going great!

  5. I love picking the first fresh vegetables from our garden. I go out every day and check over everthing to see how it's going and talk to my veggies. It helps them grow, I think. LOL! Enjoy your country fairs and fresh veggies from the garden!
    Blessings~ Birgit
