  4. Hi, Leslie,
You stick to your guns! Put the tree up when you are ready. I like to wait until after Thanksgiving and leave it up until after New Year's Day.
I am a follower and proud to be an American.
I will post on my sidebar.
Our family tradition is kind of corny but we all hang our stockings on Christmas Eve. No matter how big our family gets or when they can come back to pick them up, they all show up to hang their stockings so they can get that stocking full of special Santa treats.

Our family tradition is having all the children and grandchildren over for Christmas Eve where we have all kinds of appetizers and egg nog, and listen to A Christmas Story on TV while we open presents from and to each other. Our family is getting larger and our house smaller so next year we may have to start this tradition at my middle daughters home that is 3 times bigger!

  8. I would love to be entered in your giveaway! I am a follower. I guess our two traditions are to go out in the forest and choose a tree. We usually take snowmachines due to the amount of snow but it varies. Last year we were able to drive. Every year I get sticky buns ready so I can pop them in the oven on Christmas morning. As soon as we are done opening presents they are ready. Thanks for the chance to enter!

On tradition we had when I was little and STILL have is that we all get stockings!!! My moms stitched my brothers and sisters names on a stocking and to this day she hangs them up and fill them for us. It just wouldn't be the same with out our stocking gifts!! Now my two kids have stocking made by their Aunt Sue that we hang up and fill. They are almost as excited about them as the rest of Christmas!! Happy Holidays!!

We have 2 family traditions for Christmas. One is for all the girls and my grandson to get together & decorate sugar cookies.
The other is when my whole family gathers at my house for supper. Then we get a visit from Santa before he gets to busy with his deliveries. (I take a present for each of the kids to a friends house beforehand & Santa hands them out)
Wasn't Wendy's ornie swap alot of fun? Your little mousie ornie is adorable.

  12. I would love to be entered so much. I am a follower and will list in my sidebar, however, my blog is a private one and doesn't get an awful lot of traffic! :o)

One of my fav. traditions that started about 5 years ago happened right after my divorce...my dad has always been such a Christmas Eve/morning lover and when I got married it broke his heart that I would not even be there on Christmas morning, but in my own house...so after my divorce, it was like a precious thing to him to have me "back" - anwyay, one thing we started doing on Christmas Eve was going out to eat...CHINESE! Just like one of our favorite movies "A Christmas Story" - we do so love to do this and have made it a tradition! Chinese turkey! :o)

On Christmas eve. we watch a Christmas Story every year. And I have a countdown calender that you move the mouse to countdown the days until Christmas, my kids used to argue over who's turn it was to move the mouse, now the grandkids enjoy it.
